John Cleater, Set Designer
John Cleater is a founding member of the Builders Association and created designs for MASTER BUILDER, IMPERIAL MOTEL, XTRAVAGANZA, and was project director for INVISIBLE CITIES. From 1998-2003, he worked with the architectural firm Asymptote where he was project architect for clients including NYSE, Documenta, Venice Biennale, BMW, The Guggenheim, and others. In 2005, he redesigned Brooklyn College's Gym for the BCCP. In 2007 he was an artist-in-residence at JMKAC, creating iron and brass sculptures. Currently, he is on the advisory committee for OMI International Arts Center's Architecture OMI. He holds a Masters degree from Columbia University School of Architecture.
